I look forward to following your blog. As I was reading it, I couldn't have agreed more with your feelings about being in nature, and the connection we have to all things. I believe that connection is most recognizable when in the woods, in the quiet, when our spirit becomes free of the daily bombardment of stimulis we so often experience. I am an avid and passionate hiker, and hope one day to hike the AT. But for now, I am happy to hike in Maine and NH on the weekends and connect to the mountains and nature that I so desperately need in my life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. They were touching. And thank you for your service to our country. I
